See Video: Same-Sex Marriage Debate
The Church teaches us that marriage and the family are sacred and should be protected, but this is also common sense. While our consciences are formed by our faith, it is important for us to go into the secular world armed with secular arguments. In addition to reading point papers and talking points, it may also useful to see how advocates on both sides debate this issue publicly.
Click the link below for an on-line streaming video of an excellent symposium on same-sex marriage that was held at the University of California at Berkeley on April 19, 2004. Both sides put forth their best arguments representing their positions. You may find it of value to watch this to get more comfortable with the subject.
